Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to make the Website work, to understand how it is used, and to measure our advertising. These fall into three groups:
- Essential cookies — required for the Website to function, such as remembering your form entries during a session. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies — help us see which pages are visited and how people move through the site, so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics for this.
- Advertising cookies — used to measure the performance of our ads and to show relevant ads to people who have visited our site.
Third-party advertising
We use Google Ads and other advertising services. This means:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your previous visits to our Website and other sites on the internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites.
- We may use remarketing to show our ads to people who have previously visited visament.co.
- We may share hashed contact details with advertising platforms to measure ad performance or reach similar audiences. We never share your travel document details or payment information for advertising.
Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own independent marketing. We share it only in these situations:
- Travel Suppliers — airlines, hotels, transport operators, tour operators, guides and insurers need your details to deliver the service you booked. Each Supplier handles your data under its own privacy policy.
- Service providers — payment gateways, email and hosting providers, CRM and analytics tools that operate on our instructions and are bound to protect your data.
- Advertising and analytics platforms — as described in Section 05.
- Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose information, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- Business transfers — if our business is merged, acquired or sold, your information may transfer to the new owner. We will notify you before it becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
International Transfers
Because we arrange travel to and within India for clients living elsewhere, your information will necessarily be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own — including India, where our operations are based — and shared with Suppliers in your destination country. Data protection laws in these countries may differ from those where you live.
By submitting your information and booking travel with us, you consent to these transfers. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in line with this policy wherever it is processed.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your Personal Information only as long as we need it:
- Enquiries that do not become bookings — retained for a limited period so we can follow up, then deleted or anonymised.
- Booking and payment records — retained for as long as required by tax, accounting and legal obligations after your trip ends.
- Marketing contact details — retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Website analytics data — retained in aggregated or pseudonymised form according to the retention settings of the analytics tools we use.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your Personal Information:
- Access — ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your information where we no longer need it.
- Objection and restriction — object to certain processing, or ask us to limit it.
- Portability — receive your information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent — withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it, without affecting processing already carried out.
- Opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell personal information, but if you are a California resident you may still submit a request and we will confirm our position in writing.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@visament.co from the address associated with your enquiry or booking. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may be unable to delete information we are legally required to retain, or that we need to complete a trip you are currently travelling on.
Marketing Preferences
We only send marketing messages to people who have asked for them or who have enquired about or booked travel with us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or emailing support@visament.co.
Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages about a trip you have booked — booking confirmations, itinerary updates and travel alerts.
Security of Your Information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your Personal Information, including encrypted connections, restricted internal access and vetted service providers. Payments are handled by established payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our Service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information directly from children under 16. Where children travel as part of a family booking, their details are provided to us by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for that consent.
If you believe a child has provided us with information directly, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
Links to Other Websites
Our Website may contain links to third-party sites, including Supplier websites and official government portals. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party site. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site you visit.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and material changes will be notified by email or a prominent notice on the Website. Please review this page periodically.
